Conference Center & Lodging

We are returning to the Chautauqua Institution in beautiful Chautauqua, New York for our conference in 2027! We are still evaluating our pricing plan but our intent is to hold participant fees steady in 2027.

Conference Center

The Chautauqua Institution is a gated Victorian village situated in a beautiful secure setting – a festival for the mind and body. Founded in 1874, history abounds in this renowned education and recreation center on Chautauqua Lake near the southwest corner of New York State.  Chautauqua, in autumn, presents a visual feast and participants will soak up the architecture along with peak autumn leaves!

The Greene Family Commons is a newly renovated 115-room dormitory with full dining services, courtyards and meeting space. Our evening events will be held here, just steps away from the dorm rooms. You’ll find a comfortable home for the long weekend.

Turner Hall, now a community center, is a former elementary school with classrooms, fitness center and indoor pool. The majority of our classes will be held here and the fitness center and pool are available free to conference participants.

Columbus/Indigenous Peoples’ Day weekend in early October is peak fall foliage season. Plan to stroll around the grounds, walk to the lakefront and take in the legendary Athenaeum Hotel, the Bell Tower and other sights throughout the village. While there, visit the Chautauqua Bookstore and the Gallery Store.

Tip:  EGLFC is a great way to get a taste of Chautauqua without the summer crowds or pricey gate pass.

Chautauqua, New York, is located approximately:
