Chautauqua Institution is located in the southwestern corner of New York State.
From the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90): Take Exit 60. Turn left onto NY-394/North Portage Street. Continue to follow NY-394 East.
From the Southern Tier Expressway (Interstate 86):
- If eastbound, take Exit 7 (Panama/Chautauqua Institution), turn left onto CR-33, then right onto West Lake Road/NY-394.
- If westbound, take Exit 8 (Mayville/Lakewood), then right on NY-394 West.

Arriving on campus:
Chautauqua is primarily a pedestrian community with very narrow streets. The use of automobiles on the grounds is tightly restricted. Conference participants may park in the lots at each end of the Greene Family Commons on Hedding Avenue or in the lots at the Turner Community Center off of West Lake Road.
Detailed instructions for check-in and equipment unloading will be emailed to conference participants in September, 2027.
Moving around campus:
Conference participants may choose to park at the Green Family Commons where meals and lodging are based and either walk or drive to classes at the Turner Community Center.
